About Us

smileDr. Adolph Bushell has had a long and distinguished career. He received his undergraduate degree from Ohio State University and his degree in dental medicine from the Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He has lectured and taught both nationally and internationally, and has received numerous awards and honors that recognize his outstanding contribution to the field of dentistry.

He has published important articles in the field of endodontics, and has taught and demonstrated surgical endodontics as a faculty member at New York University, Columbia University, Tufts University, Boston University and the University of Connecticut schools of dentistry.

Internationally, Dr. Bushell was a lecturer / teacher on the Project Hope Hospital Ship World Tour, and has been a guest lecturer in numerous countries, including China, Europe, and South and Central America. He is presently on staff at Hartford Hospital, where he oversees general dentistry residents and the Connecticut Children’s Hospital. He is also a clinical professor at the University of Connecticut mentoring program.

The Connecticut State Dental Association

Dr. Bushell is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a recipient of the prestigious Paul Harris Award for outstanding humanitarianism and volunteerism. He has also received the Daniel Lynch Award for outstanding dentist of the year and the Distinguished Service Award from the Connecticut Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Bushell has devoted many years to volunteering his skill and expertise here and abroad. He has traveled with “Heal the Children” to Guatemala and Cambodia, and worked with the Haitian Health Foundation to establish dental operatories in Haiti. He has been instrumental in establishing and equipping the Brooker Memorial Children’s Dental Facility in Torrington, Connecticut, and he has worked with “MOM” to provide free dental care to those in need.
